Thank you both for your responses, just again proving you both have a finger on the pulse..........very impressed. We have all ridden the track and as you quite rightly say it's the weather that has been in your way this season, but yes the same for everyone. We'll be there on Sunday because my son's put his name in for a late entry. I've seen the hard work and effort you all put in especially in trying to save that disastrous weekend. You all did well, but only because of the efforts of a team rather than a few individuals.
Keep up the good work and Claire, if it's you taking the photos, I am even more impressed than I was.
Paul, if you are not booked in for the racing at the weekend, why not come along to our meeting on Sunday and see how things are run. The club has worked very hard to ensure the track is in good condition following our last meeting there when the weather was our enemy.
We are a club that believes that everyone should pull their weight and work hard to ensure that the days riding goes smoothly. After all, we all get something from the work we put in- a good days racing!!!! I run this website in my spare time because i enjoy it, and the riders like to look at their pictures, lord knows what i will do over the winter!!
Hi Paul, Thanks for your comments, they are much appreciated. We do try hard as a Club and there is a great togetherness within. However, all of the work and effort on this site is carried out by one lady, Claire Bennett, mother of Inter Junior rider Nicholas Bennett. Claire's work is much appreciated thats for sure. Our Club night is a Monday and the meeting starts at 8.30pm. As a Club we renew our membership starting 26th November 2007. For the first 3-weeks after this date membership renewal is exclsuive to current members, then after the 3-week period remaining places are offered on a first come first served basis. However, we are quite strict and every member must sign a 'Clubs Terms of Acceptance for Rider Membership.' We have found this to be the only way to make sure every member is involved in the normal duties of the Club and it's events. We look forward to seeing you if you decide to come along. All the very best, Tim James - Chairman.
What a brilliant site, it's good to see you have the same enthusiasm here as you have when organising a meeting. Shame the same can't be said about our club, website or race organisation! keep up the good work. My two sons and I are eager to find a better organised club and would be interested in coming along to one of your club nights. Paul H
