6月11日 Tunstall HallThe next meeting at Tunstall Hall is the Tony Johnson Memorial meeting. The trophy is awarded to the highest point scorer of the meeting who is a member of Northshropshire club.
This meeting is kindly being sponsored by Paul Stevens of Respol Industrial Flooring their website is www.industrialflooring.co.uk Trophies are up to 10th positon for inter juniors as usual
The track looks very good, we will be watering the night before and early Sunday if the weather doesnt give us any rain leading up to the meeting, the next work party is on 28th June, names are on the website file as usual.

Club Night ReminderReminder to all club members that clube will be on Tuesday next week not Monday as it is a bank holiday
The next motocross meeting is at Wirral this weekend, its a two day event run over the Sunday and Monday, the clubhave improved the track by adding a whoops section, changing the ski jumps to tabletops and widening some of the sections.
The track has been fully graded in preparation for the meeting. 5月2日 Tunstall Hall UpdateThe paddock and track are at this point, perfect for the weekend, showers are expected over Saturday and Sunday but hopefully the sunshine over the last few days has done its job to dry the paddock enough to take this extra rain.

4月30日 Tunstall Hall Weather report!!!!Despite the rain over the last few hours the track and paddock are still looking good at Tunstall Hall, the weather is going to be warmer and drier over the next few days, which should make conditons perfect on Sunday. 4月29日 club meeting next week, and other stuffReminder to club members that our club night will be on TUESDAY not Monday as it is a bank holiday
Tim has visited the track over the weekend, the track is in excellent condition, the paddock remains a little wet, so long as the weather isnt too bad over the next few days it should hopefully be fine, extra stone is being laid at the gate and the taram is being put onto the paddock to assist with keeping the moisture down, what is really needed is a couple of dry days to complete the drying of the field so fingers crossed. In the morning the plan is to get people onto the field as quicky as possible and give out programmes at signing on instead of at the gate to minimise traffic during the 45 minute window when everyone arrives at once. A tractor will be available to tow vehicles onto the field if needed.
There is a work party at the track on Saturday, names are on the list in the links section at the bottom of this page, work starts at 9am main items to be completed are setting out the start gate and roping the paddocks.

NSMX 4月22日 Bangor on Dee 27th AprilAfter speaking to Christine from Oswestry MCC today I have found out that Bangor on Dee is still being run unless the weather deteriorates over the next few days. The track was drying well although there was some surface water around but the banks on the track are dry. The club has struggled to get machinery on the track to do any work so far due to it being so wet but they are planning to do this over the next few days.
I have spoken to the AMCA and Newport club about out of group entries IF Bangor is cancelled, I have been told that we WILL NOT be allowed to ride at Long Lane if our meeting is off and we will probably be redirected to our reserve group which I believe is Burntwood@Branston in the South Staffs group.
Further updates to come.. as soon as I know anything further I will post it here on the site.

NSMX 4月21日 THANKYOU!!!We just wanted to say a big thanks to all who helped us today when Nick Bennett was injured in the inter juniors and was taken by ambulance to PRH, Nick is fine although he has been kept in overnight for observation as he was knocked out for bit following his fall, they did tell us he may have broken a bone in his back, but fortunately after further examination they discovered this wasnt the case (thankfully).
We are so greatful to everyone (some of whom we didnt know) who helped us load the van and photo tent so one of us could travel in the ambulance with him, we are also greatful for the offers of lifts for children and to Sue for driving my car home, thanks also needs to go to Market Drayton club for being so helpful, and to Nathan for being nice to me trackside when I was doing the scared mother thing!!!

4月19日 20,000 hitsThe site has had over 20,000 hits since it was formed last year in July, thanks for your support and we hope the site is useful to you all 4月16日 Club NewsIt is only three weeks now until our meeting, the job list is to remain the same as our last meeting which was cancelled, anyone unable to fullfill this they need to let Pete know at club night.
Extra work is being done to make the paddock more accessable during the 45 minute window when most of the competitors arrive. The club has purchased some stone to lay at the entrance to the paddock and will be laying a moisture membrane which we purchased last year, hopefully this will help prevent a backlog at the paddock gates if conditions make the field muddy.
This weekend is the meeting at Ollerton, work has been done there to recover the paddock and track with extra drains put in and tractor work completed, hopefully the weather will stay dry.
Group wise a website has been started to allow communication beetween the groups, especially in the event of a cancelled meeting, the news would be put on the website which would allow riders to check on a meetings status before leaving to travel, hopefully this should minimise confusion on the day of a meeting, and give everyone a point of contact with the group as a whole, links are on there to various clubs within the group as well as the usual web links

3月26日 Work party Saturday 29th MarchA reminder that its our pre race work party on Saturday, everyone due to work this one is on the work party list which there is a link for at the bottom of the page. This list has been forumulated by Steve Mitchell (thanks Steve). All members are able to look at the list but only authorised persons are able to edit it (i.e. current committe members) this is to ensure that people all know which party they are scheduled for.
The work party starts at 9am, there are just a few bits and pieces to do, like the start gate and roping the paddock.
Remember: the clocks go FORWARD on Sunday at 2am, so you need to make you sure you arrive at the meeting at the correct time or you will miss signing on!!!!!!!

3月19日 Shropshire Star race reportThe race report is in tonights Shropshire Star, unfortunately, I have upgraded the MX1 Seniors to Experts!!! (they deserve it after the mud  ), anyway, i thought I would make my apologies- very sorry, please dont flame me  3月18日 TUNSTALL HALL HOSTS MX2 QUALIFIERS 30th MarchTunstall Hall meeting is now only a week and a half away. We will be hosting the AMCA MX2 qualifiers, this is an exciting opportunity for people in other areas to see the work we have done to our track. Further work will continue leading up to the meeting, thanks to all club members involved (you know who you are
) The track really does look good, including jumps, whoops, bowl turn corners and step downs, the start gate is now at the top of the field which should make for some good spectating. All of this is on good quality soil, avoiding the problem boggy areas from last year.Club member Mick Rawlings is kindly sponsoring this meeting, there will be trophies down to 10th place for inter juniors and bottles of bubbly for all winners, apart from the inters who will receive Vimto (only kidding we expect the poor parents could make use of a nice drink at the end of a days racing!)
All the marshall/job sheets are now on here on the links section, feel free to take a note of which job you are listed for or see Pete Crump at club.
The pre race work party is on the 29th of March, we start at 9am, please use the bottom gate if possible to enter the field, there isnt a huge amount of work to do, just finishing off the hard work put in during the winter.
See you there. 3月11日 10th March Club NightThe track alterations at Tunstall are now complete, there is a 3 hour work party taking place on saturday, its a paint party really so bring along your paintbrush as we have rather alot of posts to paint ready for our meeting!!!
There is now a link to the job lists/marshal lists and work partys on here in the links section, if anyone is unsure of their job at our race meeting or which meeting they will be marshalling at it will now be easy to access the list, so there should be no problem with people getting confused which they are down for.
Thanks to all the members who have worked so hard over the winter on the track, we DO NOT want to see you on Saturday as its now time for other members to come forward and contribute to the work.
We signed for Tunstall, if anyone now wants to enter this meeting they need to contact Anne for a telephone entry, The AMCA paperwork leaves this week with programme details.
Some club members had good results at Long Lane last Sunday, the feedback regarding the meeting was good, it was a big entry and Newport did well to get all the racing completed. Race write ups have gone to the TMX and Shropshire Star written by Claire, who is now the groups AMCA photographer, and is now selling photos at the race meetings.
Next club meeting is Monday night, this weekend is our first race at Ollerton, hosted by the Market Drayton club.
2月27日 Club Night Monday 25thMonday was the last night for signing the regs for Market Drayton club race meeting at Ollerton on the 16th of March, if anyone still wishes to sign for this meeting they will need to ring Anne before next Wednesday for a telephone entry, or sign on as a late entry at the meeting.
We are still looking for sponsors for our next race meeting, this involves an advert in the race programme, and if you have a website, a link can be put onto the website here. Anne has further details of what this involves if anyone is interested.
As you know, we are running a fundraising account on Tazbar if anyone has anything to donate for auction to raise funds for the club can they bring it along to club on Mondays so Claire can list it on the site.
nsmx 2月23日 work at Tunstall hall MX trackWork has been going on at our track over the winter to address the problem we had with wet areas in the track last year. The layout has been changed to avoid the very wet areas at the bottom, extra drains have been put in, the start has been moved to the top field to allow better viewing, this means we have been able to incorperate the old start area into the layout. The heavy machinery has been there over this weekend to move soil to some of the areas that needed to be built up.
The track will now be run in the opposite direction to last year, we have also added jumps, and reduced the amount of whoops.
Thanks to all the guys for being there this weekend in their own time, when it is finished it should be excellent!!!!! |
