2月27日 Club Night Monday 25thMonday was the last night for signing the regs for Market Drayton club race meeting at Ollerton on the 16th of March, if anyone still wishes to sign for this meeting they will need to ring Anne before next Wednesday for a telephone entry, or sign on as a late entry at the meeting.
We are still looking for sponsors for our next race meeting, this involves an advert in the race programme, and if you have a website, a link can be put onto the website here. Anne has further details of what this involves if anyone is interested.
As you know, we are running a fundraising account on Tazbar if anyone has anything to donate for auction to raise funds for the club can they bring it along to club on Mondays so Claire can list it on the site.
nsmx 2月23日 work at Tunstall hall MX trackWork has been going on at our track over the winter to address the problem we had with wet areas in the track last year. The layout has been changed to avoid the very wet areas at the bottom, extra drains have been put in, the start has been moved to the top field to allow better viewing, this means we have been able to incorperate the old start area into the layout. The heavy machinery has been there over this weekend to move soil to some of the areas that needed to be built up.
The track will now be run in the opposite direction to last year, we have also added jumps, and reduced the amount of whoops.
Thanks to all the guys for being there this weekend in their own time, when it is finished it should be excellent!!!!! 2月19日 Monday 18th Feb club meetingThe Regs for Long Lane 9th of March will be sent off this week, anyone wanting a telephone entry needs to contact Anne before Wed 27th of Feb, otherwise you will have to apply for a late entry on the day.
Pre race party work sheets for the year are now available these will be held on 29th March, 3rd May, 28th June 30th August and 18th October, it is helpful if members can sign up to work parties early in the year so that we have an idea of the numbers who will be attending.
There has been alot of work done at the track over the winter, the start has been moved to the top of the field, and the track will be run in the opposite direction, the wet section has been cut out, sections re routed, and jumps added. This weekend there will be a work party with heavy machinery to continue this excellent work, hopefully if the weather is good I will attend and take some updated track photos.
Marshall points for our first meeting are now full, however the job sheets still need to be completed, if you are not marshalling you are expected to do one job during the day, these are available at club night on a Monday.
Group meeting is this Tuesday at the Raven Hotel, Prees at 8:30pm, all are welcome to attend, especially if they feel the need to air their views regarding the proposed meeting changes within our group this year (Condover and Long Lane).
