May 21 CANCELLED!!!!!!!!!!!!Many apologies BUT this weekends meeting and practice has had to be cancelled due to the excessive rain which has fallen in the county over the last 24hours.
A severe storm with hail and heavy rain has finished off any chance we may have had of running you the first class meeting you deserve... we know the forecast for the weekend is excellent however, the track is so wet it has no chance of recovering for the weekend.
WEM MXC May 19 This weekendTrack conditions are currently very good despite the rain over the last few days, A new rythm section has been created plus a new section of track added, the jumps have been refaced ready for the meeting. Paddock conditions are excellent.
The club have proposed a venue of Goldstone Hall http://www.goldstonehall.com/ for this seasons presentation evening, we are hoping to secure a top UK rider to present the awards, which will consist of over 50 trophies at a cost of £25 per person

May 08 THIS MONTH AT WEM MXCMay 24th is the next meeting at Tunstall Hall Raceway, the club have been working hard to get the track into top racing condition, refacing the jumps, grading, stone picking and other bits and bobs, such as improving access for watering to minimise delays on raceday.
The track and paddock are in excellent dry condition and any rain we have leading up to the meeting should not spoil our meeting.
Trophies are to 10th in the Inter junior races and 5th in all adult classes, we also have the Tony Johnson memorial award to give, which is given to the highest scoring WEM MXC member at this meeting..in addition to the race programme we have an INTER JUNIOR CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS race, kindy sponsored by RACE-WORLD.COM in this winner takes all race £100 to spend at RACE-WORLD.COM is up for grabs!!!!
On Wednesday 27th May, which is the week after our meeting, we have a practice day at Tunstall Hall Raceway, if anyone wishes to get involved in this then they need to email Claire mbenn67@hotmail.com or ring on 07522643733. the practice will be broken up into sessions according to ability paddock opens at 9am and finishes at around 4:30pm
April 13 this coming weekend..This weekend is the first meeting of the year for WEM MXC at Tunstall Hall Raceway, the track is in excellent condition, as too is the paddock, for all of you already signed into the meeting, you should have a great race day!!
The meeting is almost full a few limited spaces remain to book a late you must ring the number on the AMCA website to check availibility of space in your class.

please remember the rules for camping.. no generators or paddock noise after 1030pm, no fires, dogs on leads at all times... if these rules are broken we have the right to send you home and stop you riding (and we will enforce this) we do not wish to lose Tunstall as a venue due to silly behaviour in the paddock.

February 11 NEW MX SHOPA new shop selling all things motocross has opened in Market Drayton this Wednesday
RACE-WORLD.COM are locally owned and have opened their doors to the public for the first time today, the staff are friendly and will gladly entertain you with a cup of coffee or Monster Energy if you feel the need!
The shop sells everything from tear offs, Muc Off, oils, tyres/chains/sprockets etc and currently have some excellent opening offers on MX gear .
online ordering and website should be live in the next couple of weeks.
If you would like to go along to the shop it is located at Vicon Works, Milton Drive, Market Drayton, Shropshire, now open 9am-6pm
February 06 A few updated detailsWelcome to our webpage, both old and new members to the club, and of course, hello to members of the Northshropshire/Northwales group!!! welcome back!!
The 2009 season will soon be upon us, with a few riders now receiving their 2009 licences and transponders, regulations have started to filter through from the AMCA with Market Draytons first meeting of the year at Ollerton now being available at club to sign on for.
This season at Tunstall WEM MXC will be awarding trophies to 10th in the Inter Junior classes as usual and down to 5th in all the adult classes,which is NEW for this season, there will also be a few special events consisting of races which will be additional to the usual race programme, extra prizes, AMCA practice days and of course the GROUP CHAMPIONSHIPS, which we hope to host at our July meeting, further details of our schedule at Tunstall will be posted here over the next few weeks.
WEM MXC February 04 WORK PARTY CANCELLEDThis saturdays work party is cancelled due to the expected snow!!
next club meeting is on Monday 9th Feb January 13 fixture listAttached is a provisonal fixture list for 2009, the list will be finalised next Tuesday at Group Meeting.
Next club meeting is on 26th January, as we have no meetings to sign on for yet.
At next club night it would be nice to have feedback about the presentation evening and ask what sort of event you would like this year to allow us to start to plan it in advance. Consider the entertainment, food, location, awards and who presents the awards, would you like a top rider to come and give the awards , would you like to have more/less awards?? any suggestions for awards such as wally of the year etc.. anything to add something to the evening would be nice.
If anyone is interested in being a steward for this season there are various course available at the AMCA offices over the next few weeks, please let one of the committe know at club.
Finally, membership is now open to non members, therefore if you are a current member who has not yet signed up for club you are in danger of loosing your place, please try to ensure this doesn't happen by ensuring you join for this season ASAP.

January 12 Meetings commence again tonight at 830pmMeetings begin again tonight at 8PM, we will be taking membership applications, once a signed up member of the club you will then be able to take a licence form for 2009.
Membership is now open to new members, not just members from last year, you need to be quick with your application as the group as a whole is quite full, last season the North Shropshire- North Wales group had the highest number of event entries in the AMCA.
Tonight we will also be able to inform members of the fixture list for next season, and give information about this seasons presentation evening and other club developments
